He said he couldn't wait to get married, so he could stuff his wife deep in a hole and never let her out.

Per the excerpt above, I noted in my Kindle "That is extremely disturbing"

I am on a Freida roll because I - for reasons unknown to me - I enjoy her writing. I find myself sifting through my kindle pages quickly hence completing a book in couple days or couple hours.

The Perfect Son....when I first saw this book pop up on my Amazon recommendations for books to read, I kinda figured what the story would be just based on the title but I still decided to give it a chance. I mean "don't judge a book by its title" no?. This is what I thought, a family with a son who is seemingly everything that they probably wanted but turns out to be a psycho serial killer of some sort. You could almost write a "The Perfect Son" review without fully reading the book.

..

I wasn't that wrong.

..

Midway through my reading though, I figured out who the killer was. I honestly believe it was easy to figure it out despite the number of misdirects and uncalled for distractions. It was a case of if everyone is saying Mr. X. did it, then it is probably Mr. Y.

Anyway there weren't any stupid characters or an annoying one but none particular stood out for me. The character build was pretty decent in my opinion however nothing great.

The plot twist also felt a bit rushed...I mean it felt bland, cliché and unexciting . I did not get that feeling you get after you complete a book sadly.

I think it is without a doubt that I was not excited by this read hence my not-so-exciting review.

Characters

I have to hand it to Mr. Cass. His dad jokes no matter how dark they were made me laugh.

Verdict

It is not a bad read to while away time however it is not that great. But still E for effort.

A signature which says Olayinka
